Akron Schools Chief Still In Running To Lead CCS

akronschools.com

Akron Schools superintendent David James has made the most recent cut of applicants to become the next superintendent of Columbus City Schools.

WCBE has learned James interviewed for the position yesterday and awaits word on whether he'll move to the semifinalist round. District officials have declined to release the names of candidates pared from the list of 19 that was released in December. The district has said the process to replace Dan Good will be transparent.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
