Bexley City Council has voted to officially reprimand member Tim Madison, calling his conduct toward two constituents "unacceptable."
Results of an internal investigation show during a break on November 13, Madison confronted Nate Caplin in the City Hall parking lot and called him a "gutless troll" three times. Caplin spoke against Madison's bill banning short-term rentals. Madison said comments Caplin made on social media about being secretive during the legislative process lacked evidence. The investigation also shows Madison called another person an S.O.B. Madison has since apologized. This week, council also ordered him to undergo counseling and removed him as chair of several committees.
