BOE Certifies Petition Signatures For UA Recall Vote

The Franklin County Board of Elections says a group of Upper Arlington residents has collected enough petition signatures to ask voters to recall four City Council members. Council will meet Monday night to set a date for a special election. A group of residents called "Save Northam Park" wants to recall Council president Deborah Johnson and members Dave DeCapua, John Adams and Kip Greenhill. The group is upset with the members over changes to the park and the 911 dispatch merger with the city of Columbus. Ohio law requires a special election be scheduled within the next 40 days.
