Columbus police have charged a 16-year-old girl with murder in connection with a police shooting last week that killed a 16-year-old boy.
Masonique Saunders also faces a robbery charge. Police say she played a role in the commission of the armed robbery that resulted in an undercover officer killing Julius Tate Junior. Police said they recovered a weapon at the scene. Tate’s family disputes that claim and others by police officials. The family has said they plan to file a wrongful death lawsuit.
