A 4-year-old child is dead and his mother is hospitalized in serious condition after a house fire Friday morning on Columbus' west side.
The cause of the fire at the home in the 16 hundred block of Humphrey Avenue has yet to be determined. Firefighters pulled a woman and her 3-year-old son from the house. The child's grandmother was also inside but was able to escape on her own. She is hospitalized in stable condition. Names of the victims have yet to be released.
