Columbus Opens Rec Centers To Help People Stay Warm

Cold weather has prompted many schools around the state to cancel classes today. Columbus City Schools and Ohio State University are among those that put out early notices canceling today's classes. Columbus city officials are opening some recreation centers again today to provide refuge from the frigid temperatures. Residents may visit the Dodge, Gillie, Martin Janis, Lazelle Woods, Marion Franklin and Whetstone recreation centers to stay warm for free. Additional help is being provided through the Central Ohio Area Agency on Aging and Life Care Alliance.
