A fatal shooting early this morning on the northeast side officially tied the Columbus record for homicides in a year at 139.
Police say 37-year-old Aaron Leapheart III was shot and killed at his apartment in the 1000 block of Olmstead Avenue. The name of the victim has yet to be released. Police are searching for a motive and suspects.
