Corporate Columbus Drops Bid To Use State Dollars To Build Browns Training Facility In Columbus

The Columbus Partnership will remove a request for Ohio taxpayers to pay 5 million dollars to build a facility for the Cleveland Browns at Ohio State University for summer training camp.The idea has drawn backlash from taxpayers, politicians and others in Columbus, Cleveland and elsewhere. Partnership president Alex Fischer says the funding request in the state's capital improvements budget proposal was misunderstood and will be removed.
