Defective Train Wheel May Have Caused Derailment

Norfolk Southern Railroad officials say a broken wheel may be to blame for Tuesday's train derailment in Delaware County. Investigators are looking at a defective wheel found in the wreckage near U.S. Route 42 and Horseshoe Road. Tests will be conducted to determine how the wheel caused 36 corn-carrying cars to jump the tracks.
