Ethics Commission Clears City Council Members In One Of Two Probes

WCBE Files

The Ohio Ethics Commission says there is no evidence of wrongdoing by current or former Columbus City Council members. The Commission yesterday cleared Mayor and former Council president Andy Ginther and three current or former Council members of having inappropriate dealings in public contracts awarded to the nonprofit groups that employed them. An investigation continues into a trip Ginther and other council members took to the Big Ten Championship Game in 2014.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
