Funeral services are pending for former Columbus Clippers manager Rick Down, who passed away earlier this week.
The team says Down died at his home in Las Vegas at the age of 68 following a lengthy illness. Down managed the Clippers on an interim basis in 1989 and 1990 before becoming the full-time manager during the 1991 and 1992 seasons. Down's teams won back-to-back Governor's Cup Championships and held first place for 385 of his 391 games.
