A former Hilliard city employee was sentenced Friday to one year in prison after pleading guilty to felony charges of theft in office.
Heather Ernst must also pay nearly 272 thousand dollars restitution. Ernst pleaded guilty to stealing more than 500 thousand dollars in admission fees collected at two municipal pools over a five-year period. Ernst resigned last year.
