Former Lawmaker Among Those Being Investigated For Ethics Violations

Republican Franklin County Prosecutor Ron O'Brien says former Democratic State Representative Dale Mallory is one of the subjects of an investigation into possible ethics violations. Mallory's actions are being probed by the Joint Legislative Ethics Commission, after a lobbyist for payday lenders paid for tickets to a 2009 Cincinnati Bengals pro football game and for dinners at Cincinnati and Columbus restaurants. O'Brien declines to say how many other legislators are involved. Mallory lost his May primary bid for a State Senate seat.
