Former OSU AD Doesn't Remember Sexual Misconduct Complaints Against Strauss

Associated Press

Former Ohio State University athletic director Andy Geiger says he doesn't recall any complaints during his tenure about a former team doctor's alleged sexual misconduct with athletes.

Geiger said he recalls some concerns about voyeurism by Richard Strauss in the showers at Larkins Hall but nothing specifically involving the doctor. Former athletes have described Strauss as a locker-room voyeur who unnecessarily groped athletes during medical exams.  Strauss' family says they are "shocked and saddened" by the allegations and is cooperating with the school's independent investigation. Strauss' son Scott Strauss says the family learned from news reports about the allegations, which go as far back as the 1970s. Strauss took his own life.
