Sentencing is scheduled November 26 for a former Ohio State University nurse who pleaded guilty Tuesday to masterminding a phony cancer scam.
Prosecutors say 34-year-old Tawni Fuller accepted thousands of dollars in donations from co-workers after lying to them about her condition. Fuller had pleaded not guilty in July to telecommunications fraud, theft and forgery. She said she fabricated the story because she was depressed and liked the positive response from co-workers.
