Franklinton Charity Robbed More Than A Dozen Times This Year

The Veterans Free Clothing Store in Franklinton was robbed Sunday for the 14th time this year.

Thieves broke in through the front window and stole toiletries and underwear.  Store employees say the security system was not running at the time and they are searching for a new location. The 15-year-old store on West Broad Street is operated through charitable donations and volunteers.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
