Glenn's Maryland Home Sold

washingtonpost.com

The suburban Maryland home of the late astronaut and U.S. Senator John Glenn of Ohio has been sold for 1.3 million dollars.

The home in Bethesda had been on the market for five months when it sold at the end of August. It was custom built for Glenn and his wife Annie in the 1990s. It's said to have some of the best views in the area. It overlooks the 11th hole of a golf course. Glenn became the first American to orbit the Earth in 1962. He served in the U.S. Senate from 1974 to 1999. He died at age 95 in 2016.
