IG Questions Wright State's Payments To Consultant

Dayton Daily News

Wright State University near Dayton says it put new contracting procedures in place after concerns were raised about payments to a consultant. The Ohio Inspector General's office says 1.8 million dollars in payments to Ron Wine Consulting Group were overpayments or unsupported, questionable or unauthorized. The IG says the university paid the firm a total of 2.3 million dollars. An attorney representing Wine says all payments were directed by the university. Meanwhile, an arbitrator says Wright State must pay a doctor fired during an investigation into inappropriate conduct with patients nearly 92-thousand-dollars in back salary and benefits.  The arbitrator says the school wrongfully fired Arun Aggarwal while he was on leave from Dayton Children's Hospital in 2015.
