Local Jobless Rate For October Up Slightly From September

Central Ohio's jobless rate for October is 3.8 percent, up a tenth of a point from September. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says it is the lowest rate among Ohio's metropolitan areas. The department says the region added 24 hundred jobs in October. The unemployment rate for Columbus and Franklin County was 3.8 percent. Delaware and Union counties had rates of 3.3 percent, and Madison County had a rate of 3.4 percent.
