Montgomery county is being sued for a ninth time by a former prisoner alleging mistreatment by county jail guards. 44-year-old Daryl Wallace is suing a former guard, the county sheriff and county commissioners alleging excessive use force and civil rights violations. Wallace's attorneys say former guard Jerrid Campbell wasn't disciplined after he beat Wallace in 2015. Sheriff Phil Plummer says Campbell was fired last week for policy violations. None of the other eight lawsuits have reached trial or have been settled.
