New Columbus Library Branch Planned For Hilliard

A new Columbus library branch will sit on the site of a failed senior housing development in Hilliard.  The Columbus Metropolitan Library board will pay 800 thousand dollars for roughly seven acres and two buildings on the Hickory Chase property in Hilliard. The City of Hilliard will cover the remaining 6 million dollar cost. The money goes to Greenwich Investors Hickory Chase. The housing project failed during the housing market collapse of last decade. No word on when the new library will open.
