Columbus City Schools and local government officials broke ground yesterday on the new Africentric Early College School project. The 39-million-dollar school will open in 2016 on the former Woodland Meadows housing development site on the East side. It will educate students in preschool through 12th grade, and will host the school district's largest athletic facilities.
