Ohio Immigrant Groups Denounce SUPCUS' Immigration Ruling

Some Ohio immigrants and their supporters are joining others around the country denouncing the U.S. Supreme Court's new ruling on immigration policy. It upholds a federal appeals court decision to block President Obama's executive actions on immigration.  The president's Deferred-Action plan offered temporary protection to families with mixed immigration status and immigrants who arrived as children.  Jose Cabrerra of the Intercommunity Justice and Peace Center in Cincinnati attends Xavier university and participates in the plan.  He says hopes are now dashed in the immigrant community.

Center director Allison Reynolds Berry says work will continue to keep families together and support the immigrant community.
