Ohio's Jobless Rate For May Unchanged From April

Ohio's unemployment rate for May was 4.3 percent, unchanged from April. 

The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says today the number of unemployed workers in May was 250 thousand, up by one thousand from April. Non-farm payrolls in May rose by nearly 23 thousand to more than 5.5 million. Ohio saw job gains in construction, manufacturing and private services such as transportation and utilities. The U.S. unemployment rate for May was 3.8 percent.
