OHP Says Thanksgiving Holiday Traffic Deaths This Year Increased Over 2016

The Ohio Highway Patrol says 16 people died in 11 crashes during the five-day Thanksgiving travel period, up from nine deaths last year. Seven of the people who died weren't using seat belts. Troopers arrested more than 540 motorists for impaired driving. Nearly 300 drug arrests were made, and more than 15 hundred people were cited for seat belt violations.
