OSU Law Firm Tried To Interview Jordan Two Decades Ago About Sexual Misconduct Allegations

washingtonpress.com

A law firm representing Ohio State University says an investigative team unsuccessfully sought an interview with Ohio Republican Congressman Jim Jordan about sexual abuse allegations two decades ago.

Kathleen Trafford with the Porter Wright law firm says their legal team is continuing efforts to schedule an interview with Jordan. Two former Ohio State wrestlers say Jordan hasn't been truthful in claiming he was unaware of allegations that the late team doctor Richard Strauss was abusing athletes. Jordan's spokesperson says the congressman never saw or heard about any abuse or had any abuse reported when he was an assistant wrestling coach at Ohio State. Porter Wright hired Seattle-based Perkins Coie to investigate the allegations.
