OSU Researchers Grow Human Brain

ledgergazette.com

Ohio State University researchers have used adult human skin cells to grow a nearly complete human brain.  It's the size of a pencil eraser but has 99-percent of the genes in a fully-developed fetal brain.  The lab-grown brain will be used to help research cures for Alzheimer's disease and autism.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
