Pickerington Schools Considering Crackdown On Vaping

Associated Press

Officials in the Pickerington Local Schools are considering changing the student handbook to crack down on vaping.

If implemented, the changes would move the use of vaping or e-cigarettes into the district's drug policy and out of its tobacco use policy.  Vaping is already banned on school grounds and officials say the change would create harsher penalties for those caught using e-cigarettes.  The school board will discuss the proposal again at their next meeting in two weeks.
