Several Local Schools Cancel Classes Today Because Of Threats

The Logan-Hocking School District has canceled classes today due to a threat. 

District officials say only that a threat was made toward schools in the district, and police are investigating. Lancaster High School is closed today after student received a threatening message from an unknown caller. Police are investigating. Classes are canceled today at Licking Heights Central Middle School due to multiple threats. The school says threatening language, including racial hate speech, was found Thursday. A seventh-grader was arrested yesterday for threatening to carry out a shooting at the school earlier this week. And Columbus police will be more visible today at  high schools amid threats on social media. District officials say threats of a mass shooting appeared last night. Eastmoor Academy was specifically targeted. Police also found no credibility to an earlier threat against Centennial High School.  Columbus City Schools are open today. Police around the country have reported school threats this week.
