State To Help Cities Improve Water Treatment Facilities

wkyc.com

Ohio Environmental Protection Agency officials are setting aside 1 million dollars for new drinking water testing equipment and training for city water operators, in the wake of the recent drinking water ban in Toledo. The state is also making 150 million dollars in interest-free loans available for cities to upgrade water treatment and wastewater plants. The programs will target communities in the Lake Erie watershed and those relying on lakes and rivers for drinking water.
