State Rejects Tax Credit For Rehab Of East Side Trolley Barns Site

columbuscompact.com

The Ohio Development Services Agency has rejected a request from a developer for historic tax credits to rehab a trolley barn complex on Oak Street. Brad DeHayes of Connect Realty plans to seek tax credits again this spring for the 24 million dollar project. The 3-acre site would be turned into a mixed-use development with retail and residential components. The agency has granted an additional 4 million dollar tax credit to the developers renovating the historic Dayton Arcade, which closed 26 years ago. It's being turned into housing for artists and an event space.
