Still More Athletes Come Forward In Sexual Misconduct Probe Of Late OSU Doctor

thelantern.com

Ohio State University says more former male student-athletes from more than a dozen athletic teams have come forward to report alleged sexual misconduct by former school doctor Richard Strauss, who died in 2005.

130 people have come forward with information. Strauss' personnel file offers no clues  the university was aware of the allegations.  The file shows high-ranking university officials congratulating Strauss as various appointments were announced over the years. That includes praise for Strauss from former school president Edward Jennings in 1983. Strauss says in a 1980 letter that he was spending  20 percent of his time working in clinical sports medicine with varsity athletes.
