Trump Stumps In St. Clairsville

Associated Press

Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump talked about job creation last night during a speech at the Ohio University campus in St. Clairsville. He promised to restore jobs lost to foreign trade deals such as the North American Free Trade Agreement. And he criticized the proposed Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal.

Trump also claimed he got Democratic rival Hillary Clinton to switch positions on the TPP.

The speech before an estimated crowd of 3 thousand people followed one earlier in the day in western Pennsylvania in which he outlined the penalties he'd impose on countries that cheat on trade. It was Trump's first visit to Ohio since March and possibly his last before the Republican National Convention in Cleveland.
