Westerville school board members Tuesday appointed a pastor to fill a vacant seat on the panel.
50-year-old Vaughn Bell succeeds Richard Bird, who resigned in late October to take a private-sector job in Colorado. Bell will be formally sworn in next Monday. Bell is president of the district’s African-American Parent Association. He was chosen from a pool of 10 applicants.
