Wright State Trustees Approve Layoffs As Part Of Budget Cutting Plan

c3integrated.com

Wright State University trustees have voted to cut 31 million dollars from the school's fiscal 2018 budget and will lay off more than 50 employees to deal with a projected deficit. The layoffs are included in a plan trustees approved Thursday designed to save 14 million dollars by eliminating 189 positions. Layoff notices are expected to be sent next week. Interim university president Curtis McCray says the cuts should have been deeper. McCray says additional cuts will be needed during the 2018 fiscal year.
