Take a wild journey across the world with the Topiary Collection at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens!
Twenty-five topiaries made of living plants will take over the gardens this summer—fourteen of which have never been seen before! The animal topiaries are filled with plants to mimic the colors and textures of fur, skin, scales and feathers. UNESCO Natural Heritage Sites inspired the animal topiaries and the plantings that surround them. Visit sea creatures from the Great Barrier Reef, a show-stopping peacock from India, a majestic bison of the plains and more.
The topiaries and plantings were imagined, designed, constructed and grown entirely by Conservatory Horticulture & Exhibitions staff. This exhibition is truly one-of-a-kind!
All aboard! The Paul Busse Garden Railway returns to the Grand Mallway this summer.
Guests can make a return trip to their favorite destinations: Fairytale Land, Wild West Town, European Travels and the animal-themed Who Lives Here. 9 g-scale model trains travel across over 1,000 feet of track that runs high and low through the themed destinations.
A miniature world of 51 botanical models made from all-natural plant material opens itself up for exploration as the trains whirl around you. Special elements to find include an enchanted tree hollow, two waterfalls, a bubbling brook, and plantings specific to each theme.

The NILMDTS Remembrance Walk, “Our Journey Together” is for parents, family members, and friends to come together to remember a precious baby who has died due to miscarriage, stillbirth, SIDS, neonatal or any type of pregnancy or infant loss. The Walk includes a presentation with readings, music, and speakers to honor your baby. During the presentation, each baby is honored by having their name read aloud. Following the presentation, we encourage all participants to journey with their friends and family for a one mile reflective walk.
