200 people have volunteered to raise traffic safety awareness on the Ohio State campus after four crashes in the past 2 1/2 weeks in which students were seriously injured when struck while walking or riding bicycles.
The volunteers will be out at the campus area's busiest crosswalks and intersections Friday to distribute traffic-safety pamphlets. A task force of students, faculty and staff is meeting today to look for other ways to promote safe travel. Recommendations are expected by October 1st.
