Democrats in the Ohio House have elected as minority leader Fred Strahorn, a veteran lawmaker with experience in both the House and Senate. Strahorn spent eight years in the House beginning in 2000, and two years filling an unexpired term in the Ohio Senate. Democrats also picked state representative Nicholas Celebrezze as assistant Democratic leader; state representative and former state treasurer Kevin Boyce of Columbus as minority whip; and state representative Nickie Antonio as assistant whip.
