Democratic Cincinnati City Council member P.G. Sittenfeld will run for the U.S. Senate in 2016, challenging Republican incumbent Rob Portman. Sittenfeld cites a need for a new generation of leaders in Washington. The Democratic senate primary is expected to include former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland and Youngstown-area Congressman Tim Ryan.
