A Cleveland police recruit was arrested last weekend in Columbus on an OVI charge. Deshuan Wells is also charged with having a gun in his car while intoxicated. Wells was in Columbus to undergo training at the Ohio Highway Patrol Academy with his recruit class. He has been placed on desk duty.
