Ohioans who need help filing their taxes may qualify for free assistance.
The Ohio Benefit Bank offers free online and in-person tax preparation services for married couples filing jointly with annual incomes of up to 95 thousand dollars. The bank also helps qualified individual tax filers. Since 2006, the bank has saved Ohioans an estimated 35 million dollars in tax-preparation fees. And spokesperson Martin Terry says filers can get help determining their eligibility for the Earned Income Tax Credit and other credits.
