The 10th Ohio District Court of Appeals has rejected an attempt to dismiss the state and city’s lawsuit against the Columbus Crew SC and owner Anthony Precourt.
His firm appealed a judge’s decision last month granting a 90-day stay so local officials could attempt to purchase the franchise.Precourt argued the stay prevented the team's planned move to Texas, and the judge overstepped his authority. The state said it was too early to appeal. The appeals court agreed with the state.
