Vice President Mike Pence is scheduled to headline a fundraiser in Columbus on Friday for the oil-and-gas industry.
He is scheduled to speak at the annual meeting of the Ohio Oil and Gas Association. The appearance comes as the Trump administration works to promote rollbacks of environmental and safety rules. The Associated Press reports the rollbacks would deliver billions of dollars to regulated companies, increase premature deaths and illnesses from air pollution and increase climate-warming emissions, among other impacts.
