Officials at the University of Mount Union have ended their 150 year affiliation with the United Methodist Church over renewed bans on LGBTQ clergy and same-sex marriage.
The private school in Alliance wants a diverse campus and says the denomination's recent actions don't mesh with those values. Baldwin Wallace University has also cut ties with the church, and Ohio Wesleyan University is reviewing its ties.
