An advocacy group plans to submit over 18 thousand petition signatures to the city clerk today seeking to ask voters to overturn Columbus' new ticket tax.
Advocates For Responsible Taxation are seeking to place a city charter amendment on the November Ballot. The group says the public already funds private art projects and maintains related facilities. Other opponents have said the tax hurts peformers and small businesses. Backers say the arts are publicly underfunded. The tax took effect last week.
