Ohio State University is raising the minimum wage for qualifying staff members to 15 dollars per hour next year.
School president Michael Drake said in an announcement on Friday an estimated 38 hundred staffers will be eligible. Another one thousand staffers will get a bump from 15 to 16 dollars per hour. Drake says it's a means of staying competitive. The raises will cost 19 million dollars and will be funded by an administrative efficiencies program.
