The Columbus Board of Education last night voted to end their lease of two elementary schools to Bridgeway Academy.
Bridgeway purchased the former DeVry Institute property on Alum Creek Drive in October for 7.3 million dollars, and plans to combine it's therapy, primary and secondary school services in one location. The lease on the former Medary and Beaumont Elementary schools runs through October 2020. A Bridgeway spokesperson says there are plans for a capital campaign to renovate the property, but no timeline has been established. Columbus City Schools estimate Bridgeway will pay just under 139 thousand dollars between now and the end of the lease.
