Judge Upholds Previous Ruling Allowing Ohio Abortion Clinics To Operate During COVID-19 Pandemic

A federal judge has rejected the state's request to delay an order allowing six abortion clinics to remain open during the coronavirus pandemic.

The state wanted them closed as  part of an order banning elective surgeries. The decision upholds a previous order that clincis may determine on a case-by-case basis if the procedure is necessary. The state has sent a separate appeal to the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.
