New Albany City Council voted Tuesday to amend the city’s emergency declaration to include mandatory face coverings for customers and employees at all businesses.

Masks are also required at outdoor locations if people cannot consistently practice social distancing . The declaration excludes religious facilities, schools and libraries, people with medical conditions and those under the age of ten. The declaration was issued in April. Several other Ohio cities have mask requirements in place.
