The state is proceeding with plans to reopen senior and adult day care centers.
Governor Mike DeWine set the reopening date for September 21 and laid out several measures the facilities will have to follow. They include reduced capacities, mandatory masks and testing, as well as daily symptom screenings. DeWine says there are other factors to determine if facilities will be able to open a month from now but wanted to give organizations time to prepare:
DeWine says facilities should take into account its county's risk advisory level and other COVID-19 statistics before reopening. The facilities have been closed since late March.
